TNPL 2023 Squad and Teams Review

Almost 90% of Indians love this sport more than anything. Tamil Nadu first introduced a cricket league as the first Indian state. The initiative is appreciable indeed. However, Tamil Nadu Premier League will enter their 6th season in 2023. There will be so many new inputs in the formats of the TNPL 2023. So, let us discuss the teams, squads, and prize money of the competition of TNPL.

Tamil Nadu Premier League 2023 Summary:

The first edition of TNPL was played in the year of 2016. The India-based tournament is played in the T-20 format. The recent season of TNPL is arriving with many new wraps and tricks. The TNPL 2023 has been scheduled to be started on 12th June and will run till 12th July. A total of 8 teams will face each other in this one-month cricket tournament; as I have stated previously, the matches will be played in a Round-Robin league and playoff format, and all the games will be hosted on the grounds of this state. Until last season, Chepauk Super Gillies has been the most successful team with four titles. Most runs are made by Narayan Jagadeesan (1240), and most wickets are taken by R Sai Kishore (85).

Prize money for TNPL 2023:

The Tamil Nadu Premier League this season has increased their budget. So, their prize pool has also been increased accordingly. Here is the list of the fixed prize pool of TNPL 2023-

  • Champions – INR 1 crore (US$130,000)
  • Runner up – INR 60 lakh (US$75,000)
  • Two semi-finalists – INR 40 lakh (US$50,000) each
  • Remaining participants – INR 25 lakh (US$31,000)
