Meg the captain of Australia: It was a special effort from Meg Mooney, the captain of Australia’s Women’s T20 World Cup team. With an incredible unbeaten 74 from just 53 deliveries; Mooney led from the front, as Australia earned its sixth world title.
The match was an intense and closely-contested affair between the two giants of international women’s cricket; as Australia edged South Africa in the end, with a final score of 137-6 in their 20 overs.
The Australian batswomen were then determined to close the match out in the allotted time. She remained cool under pressure and composed when wickets were falling; before guiding the Aussies over the finish line.
Sune Luus, a captain from South Africa: When the umpire declared the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 final in Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town; South Africa was heartbroken to learn it had narrowly missed out on claiming its title. The match had come down to the last over, with South Africa needing to score 21 runs for victory.
But Australia, inspired by Captain Meg Lanning, eventually clinched the sixth world title with a 19-run win.

Australia’s brilliant all-rounder Ellyse Perry achieved an extraordinary feat by leading the country to a historic sixth T20 World Cup title after defeating South Africa in the finals.
