Pitch Report

The pitch should favour run-scoring with the weather staying clear for the entire day. Cloudy conditions will provide some help for the pacers while the spinners could find it tough going on a surface where 270-280 could be par.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions

Wicket-keeper: Quinton de Kock’s talent at the top of the order makes him a must have in any team with the south-paw due for a big one this World Cup. Although Sarfaraz Ahmed has also done well in bits and pieces, only de Kock is picked in the side to accommodate more capable batsmen in the team.

Batsmen: Babar Azam and Faf du Plessis are considered to be amongst the best batsmen in the world. They should be backed to score some runs on Sunday while one of Imam ul Haq or Fakhar Zaman should also be picked given their record for Pakistan at the top of the order. Although Hashim Amla has been doing well in recent games, Aiden Markram is the preferred choice for this game.

Allrounders: Mohammad Hafeez has looked in supreme touch in all of Pakistan’s games although he would have liked to go on and make them count even more. He is a great option to have for this game as well while one of Chris Morris or Andile Phehlukwayo should suffice as the second allround option.

Bowlers: Kagiso Rabada and Mohammad Amir have done well this tournament with the Pakistan pacer accounting for 13 wickets with his accuracy and swing. Along with them, Hasan Ali is another great option to have in the side with the Pakistan pacer bound to pick a wicket or two. Lungi Ngidi’s return from injury was decent against New Zealand and could be a viable option along with Imran Tahir.

Captain: Faf du Plessis and Fakhar Zaman are the ideal choices given their record in English conditions. Quinton de Kock has also underwhelmed this tournament and would love to come good in a crucial game for the Proteas while the duo of Aiden Markram and Kagiso Rabada could also be possible options.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Quinton de Kock, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Faf du Plessis, Aiden Markram, Andile Phehlukwayo, Mohammad Hafeez, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammad Amir, Imran Tahir and Hasan Ali. Captain: Faf du Plessis, Vice-Captain: Fakhar Zaman

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis, Aiden Markram, Imam ul Haq, Babar Azam, Chris Morris, Mohammad Hafeez, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada, Hasan Ali and Mohammad Amir. Captain: Quinton de Kock, Vice-Captain: Kagiso Rabada
