Jasprit Bumrah fit but selectors cautious, Pant sent to NCA

Jasprit Bumrah

Rohit Sharma has started hitting in the nets, and it is expected that he will be fully healthy by the end of the first week of January. This means he can play in the series of one-day internationals against Sri Lanka. Because of this, he couldn’t play in the Twenty20 Internationals, which started on January 3. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli are taking a break right now after finishing their tours of Bangladesh. We know neither of them asked for the break, but the people who chose them thought it would be good for them to take it.

Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja don’t have to hurry back.

Even though Jasprit Bumrah was cleared to play and made himself available for selection, the selectors decided not to bring him back too soon. Before letting him play international cricket again, they plan to put him through a training session meant to be like a real game so they can see how well he handles stress.

Ravindra Jadeja, who was at one point on the team going to Bangladesh, can’t play for his country in international competitions because of this. Now, the people who pick the team want to see him play in a mock match so they can be sure he is ready to play.

Rishabh Pant Sent to NCA

Rishabh Pant is now at the NCA, getting stronger and in better shape for the upcoming test series against Australia. After playing in 44 international games this year, the team’s leaders think he will have a key role in the Tests and that he needs this time off to rest and get ready. India needs to beat Australia in three of the four tests being played to get to the final of the World Test Championship.

Hardik Pandya has been made a full-time vice-captain in both game forms, which is an important change. He got this promotion because his skills as a leader have been recognized. This should also show that Rahul, the former vice-captain, won’t be guaranteed a spot in either of the two white-ball formats.

Shikhar Dhawan Dropped

Shikhar Dhawan led the ODI team when most of the top players focused on T20Is in the last two years, but he has been kicked off the team. In place of Rohit, Ishan Kishan got a double-century in the third one-day international against Bangladesh. Shubman Gill is also running to be the first person on the field. Even Pant’s spot in the middle order, where he made a hundred against England three innings ago, seems to be his permanent spot, but it’s hard to say if this will stay.

Prasidh Krishna, India’s difference-maker in the middle overs with his height, speed, and hard lengths, was unavailable, so he couldn’t play for the team as they head into the World Cup year. This is a big worry for India as they head into the tournament this year. Prasidh hurt his back in September, just before India A’s series against New Zealand, and he still hasn’t fully recovered. Most likely, this is why Umran Malik, Mohammed Shami, and Arshdeep Singh have been added to the team for the one-day internationals. Umran Malik has been added to the team as well.

Deepak Chahar hasn’t fully recovered from the injury he got on the Bangladesh tour, and the fact that Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s name never came up in the conversation shows that he has been kicked off the team.

Ravi Bishnoi was cut, even though he had been on the white-ball teams the year before. Ravi Bishnoi was cut because the selectors wanted Yuzvendra Chahal to be the only legspinner in the white-ball teams.

Shreyas Iyer and Mohammed Siraj will not play in the Twenty20 Internationals, but they will be back for the One-Day Internationals (ODIs).

Since the BCCI hasn’t chosen the new panels yet, these teams were picked by the group of selectors that has already been fired. We know that all the applications have been sent to the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), which comprises Ashok Malhotra, Sulakshana Naik, and Jatin Paranjpe. But the CAC hasn’t yet chosen the applicants it wants to talk to. People think the final decision about the new panel will be made within the first week of January.
