India vice-captain Rohit Sharma seems to have developed a new-found love for live-chat banters. He has been going live on social media with his fellow cricketers for quite many times now.
A similar banter was broadcast by Rohit and his Mumbai Indians’ teammate Jasprit Bumrah on Instagram. That very day would have featured the IPL match of their team against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second group-stage match. This would have given them ample time to chit-chat in the dressing room.
But due to the COVID-19 outbreak, IPL 2020 was postponed till 15th April. As further developments state, the IPL can be either further postponed or completely called off. In fact, the players are also complying with the government’s 21-day lockdown.
Rohit’s banters are sure to cheer up his fans. His chats usually start with general conversation but often turns into a light-hearted funny segment all thanks to his spontaneous humour. Recently in a chat with Kevin Pieterson, Rohit commented on the plight of Indian team’s single guys who are waiting for the lockdown to end. He also elaborated on Yuzvendra Chahal’s anxiety. This joke also cracked up Pieterson.
In the conversation with Bumrah also, Rohit was reminded of Risabh Pant’s six-hitting challenge. Rohit, in a light-hearted note, replied, “Ek saal hua nhi usko khele, chakke ka competition krega mere saath.”
